*Graduate School and department rules require students to maintain continuous enrollment (3 hour minimum) in CAHA 699 until graduation. Graduation takes place following completion - and defense of - the dissertation.

PLEASE NOTE:

  1. It is expected that students will enter the program with a minimum of 30 relevant semester hours from a previously-completed Master’s degree. Students with academic credit deficiencies - prerequisite content or required credit hours - will be expected to take additional coursework outside of the planned program schedule.
  2. Students will need to pass the candidacy examination prior to being advanced to candidacy.
  3. The program will encourage students to begin to read, think, and plan for their dissertation research early in their program. All students must complete a minimum of 15 semester hours of dissertation work, and successfully write and defend a dissertation.
